Open Lake Technology leverages Cisco Call Detail Records (CDRs) to enable accurate and efficient analysis processes. CDRs generated by Cisco Unified Communications Manager are securely transmitted to our dedicated CDRs server via FTP. This ensures real-time collection of call data, seamless integration with our interfaces and reliable tracking of all communication activities for reporting and analytics purposes.

Step 1: Prerequisites

  1. You must have admin access to CUCM or a user with CDR access permissions.

  2. Ensure CDR logging is enabled in CUCM.

  3. Know whether you want CDR Analysis and Reporting (CAR) reports or raw CDR files.

Step 2: Verify CDR Logging is Enabled

  1. Log into CUCM Administration.

  2. Navigate to:
    System > Service Parameters.

  3. Select your server, and for the Cisco CallManager service, check the following:

    • CDR Enabled FlagTrue

    • CDR Log Calls with Zero DurationTrue

  4. If changes are made, restart the CallManager service on that server.

Step 3: Configure CDR sending to OLT

Configure CDR Export Service:

  • Set remote server IP, SFTP credentials, and directory path.

  • CUCM will automatically push new CDRs to the billing server.

Automatic user tagging

The OLT Cisco connector enables to tag the recorded end user in case of selective recording. We rely on an external users list to automaticaly tag calls that should be recorded according to the end user extention.
